You can help pick the People’s Choice winner in the Watermelon Board’s online watermelon carving contest.
In July I announce an online carving competition put on my the Watermelon Board. If you’d like to view the Watermelon carving entries that were submitted to the Watermelon Board online contest, do it today. All of the entries are still being displayed today, August 28th. The deadline for submitting new entries has passed. But save your photos to enter into next year’s contest.
Voting is happening now and ends tonight at midnight. The “People’s Choice” winner will be determined by these votes by the public. The winners will be announced on Monday at midnight. After that only the winners will be showcased.
So, if you would like to see all of the entries now is the time. You can also vote for one entry each in the “beginners” and experiences” category up until midnight tonight, Friday August 28th. Click here to get to the voting page.
If you did not enter this year’s contest, plan on joining in the fun next year. Just make sure to take photos of yourself with your carvings. That was one of the requirements for this year’s contest. Lot’s on entries had to be disqualified this year because entrants did not include photos of themselves with their carvings. The reason that this is a requirement is so that watermelon.org knows that the submitted photos were not taken from the internet.
